Mr Paolo Silveri and Mrs Angelica Tuccari are world wide famous epitomes of the Belcanto technique. They were my guidance during my early years.

I learned that there are mainly two main schools of thought in the Classical singing technique world. One is the “belcanto” technique, and in the other one is called “affondo”.

The BELCANTO is typical of singers of last century, characterised by a beautiful, crystal clear sound, perfect legible diction and skilled dynamics.

The AFFONDO, explained in this article in Italian(it is translated as LUNGE in English, although not properly. The litteral translation from Italian refers to the act of sinking a sword into a body or a surface)is what you mainly hear in modern opera houses in this most recent years, where dark voices with significant volume are preferred.

Mainly I teach opera singing lessons in Reading and London to professionals of top opera theatres preparing for their auditions and roles.

I also have professional students of the West End Musical theatre taking opera singing lessons for Musical theatre as a complement for their technical preparation.

Actors and dancers are also in my classes for their own professional audition preparation.

I occasionally provide opera training to beginners aiming at professional level.
